COALDALE, AB - For the first time in over a decade, the "Snake Pit" is ready to roar on a provincial stage, Coaldale Minor Hockey Association, in a proud partnership with the Town of Coaldale, has officially been named the host for the 2026 Hockey Alberta U18 C Provincial Championships.
The prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place from March 26-29, 2026, bringing young athletes and their families from across the province to the Coaldale Sportsplex. This milestone marks the first time since 2009 that the community has been awarded a provincial championship.
"This is an incredible opportunity to showcase our town, our vibrant community spirit, and the immense pride we have in Southern Alberta," CMHA shared in their announcement. The partnership with the Town of Coaldale ensures a high-energy atmosphere and unparalleled hospitality for the visiting teams.

Opening Ceremony: Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
Host Team: Coaldale Cobras U18.
